In a world where it seems every day there is one more instance of up is down, right is wrong, left is right, and on and on, the state Senate of Alabama is leading the way. Now that the Biden team’s man in a dress heading up the Health and Human Services Department has proclaimed that children should be allowed to choose for themselves whether or not they would like to be a member of the opposite sex, never mind the parents who think this is a good idea, the good of the children really is at stake.
This week, the Alabama Senate voted 23-4 to make giving children hormonal therapy with the goal of sex reassignment a felony.
“Senators voted 23-4 to approve the measure, dubbed the Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act, sponsored by Republican Senator Shay Shelnutt,” CBS News reported. “The bill now heads to the state House of Representatives, which has already approved a companion bill.”
“Children aren’t mature enough to make these decisions on surgeries and drugs,” Shelnutt said. “The whole point is to protect kids.”
Given that the state also has a Republican governor, with all luck, that is one state where children cannot be abused in this fashion. Growing up is hard enough. Wanting to change what and who a person is just for the sake of change is even more difficult.
Naturally, this verdict did not go over well with the crowd pushing this sort of madness on the world. Children cannot purchase or consume alcohol or tobacco, but this is okay for them
Not only Alabama, but legislators in Mississippi voted in a similar fashion to make this sort of mutilation illegal.
One prominent U.S. Senator with a medical degree agrees.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) grilled Dr. Rachel Levine, who is transgender, over the issue during Levine’s confirmation hearing last week to be assistant Health and Human Services (HHS), secretary. The Daily Wire reported:
“Genital mutilation has been nearly universally condemned,” Paul began, citing the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Children’s Fund, the United Nations Population Fund. “According to the WHO, genital mutilation is recognized internationally as a violation of human rights. Genital mutilation is considered particularly egregious because, as the WHO notes, it is nearly always carried out on minors and is a violation of the rights of children.”
With that in mind, is the transgender the kids about children, or truly messed up adults.
