Something’s rotten in Denver. So rotten, and anti-American, that the police chief in that city is an open supporter of Black Lives Matter, a self-professed Marxist organization bankrolled by international provocateur George Soros for the fomenting of mayhem.
Not all of the people of Denver are of that mentality and on Sunday a Back the Blue rally was held in the city on First Amendment grounds. (They had been asked by the police chief to postpone the event, and the people refused.) The rally was held, and, what do you know BLM and Antifa hoodlums showed up.
Any time that mob appears, trouble follows, and it did.
Usually, the police are happy to keep Back the Blue events quiet, but in Denver, said police chief, Paul Pazen, gave orders not to interfere until things got violent.
The protest of the rally, with the BLM and Antifa crowd out-numbering the Back the Blue people by a relatively wide margin, began with a disturbance of banging drums and pots, blowing whistles and that sort of thing trying to drown out the speakers of Back the Blue. After a while, there was some violence which was the result of individual disputes, and conservative activist and reporter Michelle Malkin was attacked, an incident which was caught on video.

What is most distressing about this incident is that previously, even when Americans disagreed, we could be civil about the disagreement. There is nothing civil about the forces of darkness currently attacking those exercising their free speech rights to back those who have offered their lives to protect the rest of us. And the fact that a police chief allowed attacks on the people gathered to support his forces.
Something is really rotten in Denver for such a man to be a police chief.
