The Joe Biden camp continues its wrecking ball approach to taking on the United States of America in all ways possible. This time, it was not the economy, not the southern border, not withdrawing troops from a world trouble spot that was in the crosshairs.
No, this time the canceling is happening in the cultural arena. The Biden people decided to remove the composer of American music’s most recognizable patriotic song written in the twentieth century.
Much to his shock, Lee Greenwood, composer, and artist of “God Bless the USA” was removed from the National Council on the Arts.
Greenwood was appointed to the National Council on the Arts by President George W. Bush. He was reappointed by Barack Obama and by Donald Trump. He was dumped by Biden. Greenwald was shocked by the Biden decision to kick him off the board. He has toured to promote American Veterans, those killed in action, nationalism, and pride for decades.
His most recognizable tune, “God Bless the USA”, is quite literally in a class all its own in American music, transcending genre lines to appeal to all patriotic Americans.
“God Bless the USA” went far beyond what Greenwood expected when he wrote it in the back of his tour bus in 1983. The song has been in the top five on the country singles charts three times (1991, 2001, and 2003), giving it the distinction of being the only song in any genre of music to achieve that feat. It was also #1 on the pop charts after 9/11/01. In addition, CBS News voted “God Bless The U.S.A.” the most recognizable patriotic song in America, according to his website.
Greenwood says; “USA is the song I always felt the need to write. I wanted to have something that would unite Americans from coast to coast and to instill pride back in the United States. The song represents my family, my community, and those men and women who have paid the price for the freedoms we all love and enjoy.”
During the time of President Donald Trump’s tenure in politics, “God Bless the USA” became his entrance song whenever he held a rally.
Coincidence that the Biden people would be so petty as to remove an icon from an honorary position?

That song is special. I remember hearing that song played at our pinning ceremony in Basic.
Fun fact…..that song isn’t political. That song used to remind us we were all Americans….that out of many….we were one: Americans. Our military didn’t die for the democratic, republican, or independent ideals…..they died serving this country.
In this country, I have the freedom to worship Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. You have the freedom to not do any of that….either of us don’t fear punitive action….because we’re free to do so.
Why would you do that unless you hate this nation.
Too bad we can’t dump Biden right down the old swirly where he belongs.
