Border Patrol Agents Snagged 11 Iranians In The Yuma, Arizona Sector

Now that Joe Biden and team are publicly dismantling the border protections that President Donald Trump put into place, attempts to take advantage of that reality are starting to be reported.

Earlier this week, in the sector near Yuma, Arizona, the Customs and Border Patrol officials there report that a group of eleven Iranians was apprehended illegally crossing the border from the south.

At approximately 6 p.m., BP agents encountered the group near San Luis, Arizona, on a bridge near County 21st Street and the Salinity Canal. Agents determined the group had illegally crossed the international border into the U.S. The group was arrested and taken to Yuma Station for processing. The five females and six males are were all from Iran, a Special Interest Country.

Iran a special-interest country. No kidding considering that the Biden team is looking to get back into the Iran deal that President Trump shredded while he was the occupant of the Oval Office.

It seems, though, that this is not a unique occurrence.

For the last two fiscal years, Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents have led the nation in apprehending illegal crossers from Iran. Yuma Sector agents apprehended eight Iranian nationals in FY2020, compared to just 14 from all other border patrol sectors combined. So far in FY2021, Yuma Sector agents have apprehended 14 nationals from Iran.

So, the Iranians have an interest in the Yuma area over all the other ways into the country.

Interesting.

Why this is the case is something that is not being reported at this time across all outlets presenting information of the apprehension. What will be interesting in this case is whether or not the federal government releases these people into the wind as so many other migrants are with a court date and a “promise” to appear for a court date.

Maybe the group being Iranian nationals might make a difference in that.
