The remaining three police officers involved in George Floyd’s death in Minnesota have no been arrested and charged.
Minnesota’s Attorney General Keith Ellison has increased the charges against Derek Chauvin, the police officer who kept his knee on George Floyd’s neck for close to 9 minutes, three of them after another officer told him there was no pulse, to second degree murder. The other three officers, two of which were kneeling on George Floyd’s back have been charged with aiding and abetting second degree murder and are being held on a one million dollar bond each.
The Minnesota Attorney General continues to investigate and may add charges if warranted at a later date. The federal government is also looking into a potential civil rights violation.
