Robert S. Trump, the President’s younger brother has passed away at 71 years of age at the New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan.
President Trump had just recently visited his brother at the New York City hospital on Friday. White House officials said he had become seriously ill but the cause of his illness and cause of death have not been disclosed as of yet.
Robert Trump was the youngest of five children in the Trump family and reportedly had a close relationship with the President. He was a senior executive for the Trump organization.
On Friday during a press conference at the White House before President Trump left to visit his brother at the hospital he said:
“I have a wonderful brother. We’ve had a great relationship for a long time, from Day 1, a long time ago.”
President Trump has released the following statement after learning of his brother Robert’s death:
“It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight,” Donald Trump said in a statement. “He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”
Robert Trump was known as dignified and quiet with zero sense of entitlement… Or as some would say… The complete opposite of his brother Donald J. Trump…
