And now from the department of good news…
The American people always seem to know a miscarriage of justice when we see it, and such is the case of marshall’s Deputy Nate Silvester who put up a parody video on TikTok posing as consulting basketball pro LeBron James when making a stop.
“So you don’t care if a black person kills another black person, but you do care if a white cop kills a black person, even if he’s doing it to save the life of another black person?” Silvester says in the video mocking James, The Daily Wire reported. “I mean it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but then again you are really good at basketball, so I guess I’ll take your word for it.”
This was in response to James publishing the personal information of an officer involved in the saving of a young girl’s life during a knife fight with another girl.
Silvester’s parent law enforcement agency, the Belleview Marshall’s Office was not amused and suspended him with a carefully worded virtue-signaling statement that proves critical thinking is in short supply these days…
That was when the American people swung into action.
A GoFundMe account was set up and as of Tuesday morning, over four hundred thousand dollars was raised to help offset Deputy Silvester’s expenses. The account detailed that Silvester:
“has spoken to his attorney to help him figure out how to best help him with all of this since this is his first time ever being in a situation where he can help others and give back in this capacity. The details on how this will work are still not 100% clear because he’s working on a few different ideas with his attorney, but he calls these ‘Blue Funds’ because he plans to use them to help other officers and their families at his discretion.”
In a video post reacting to the outpouring of support, Silvester heaped praise on those backing law enforcement during these times where officers are routinely vilified.
“The vast majority of people in our country are amazing, decent, honest, compassionate, generous people. We just don’t get to hear from these people very often,” he said.
“Americans still love their police officers, they still love their men and women in blue, and you guys have made that resoundingly clear.”
Americans do not like seeing the men and women who put their lives on the line for us get the shaft because it is politically convenient for one group or another, either. That is why people like Nate Silvester will be supported despite the “leadership” of their superiors.

I cannot believe he was suspended! And not a thing has happened to the person that perpetrated the whole situation. It just goes to show that money will excuse any situation, including threatening to kill a police officer that did his job correctly and saved a life. I’m glad that the American public has shown that they will back an officer against a person that buys his way through wrong doing. Just apologize and admit you were wrong.
