Cop Who Killed George Floyd Charged With More Unrelated Serious Crimes

Life just gets worse for Derek Chauvin, the cop in Minnesota who happened to be the one with his knee on George Floyd’s neck when he died. Not only has he been charged in that incident with felonies, but new, unrelated charges have been filed against him and his wife.

It seems that Derek and Kellie Mae Chauvin – she filed for divorce after George Floyd died – under-reported their joint income to the tune of $464,433 from 2014 to 2019.

“Revenue investigators initiated a review into the Chauvin’s in June 2020 for failure to timely file Minnesota individual income tax returns from 2016 to 2019 and fraudulently filing tax returns from 2014 to 2019,” the office said in a statement.

“The complaints detail that the Chauvin’s, both employed and domiciled in Minnesota, failed to file income tax returns and pay state income taxes, underreported and underpaid taxes on income generated from various employments each year, and failed to pay proper sales tax on a vehicle purchased in Minnesota,” it said.

Cheating the taxman, in this case, is going to cost them $10,000 for each count and prison time.

Reports make clear that these charges are only related to state income in Minnesota. They do not include federal income taxes or anything owed to the State of Florida where a second home is owned.

George Floyd’s death on May 25 was the spark that reignited the Black Lives Matter campaign which is fomented by avowed Marxists and bankrolled by George Soros. Any time a black suspect dies at the hands of a white police officer, justified or not, the BLM forces take to the streets causing mayhem that looks terrifying on television. The movement is responsible for protests that honestly resemble riots more than peaceful assembly and which have caused billions of dollars in damage in a number of Democrat-controlled cities.
