This is some pretty amazing video footage… It is the first known officer-involved shooting where the incident was captured on an innovative gun cam designed by Viridian Weapon Technologies and it captures a view of the shooting never before possible.
The incident you will be watching in the video took place in Vernon, Texas and the pervert who shot Officer Session is 24-year-old, Walter Orellana. Mr. Orellana had an outstanding felony warrant out for his arrest for the continuous sexual abuse of a young child… He is a straight-up creep… Scum of the earth!
Officer Session had been on an unrelated call when he noticed Mr. Orellana leaning over the center console trying to hide in a silver vehicle parked at another residence… Officer Session knew that there was a warrant for his arrest so he pulled in behind the silver vehicle and approached the driver’s side.
When Officer Session gets to the vehicle Mr. Orellana sits up… When Officer Session asked him what his name was he gave him a fake name but Officer Session knew who he was so opened the door and asked him to step out.

Mr. Orellana became non-compliant and Officer Session began to struggle to get him out of the vehicle when the scumbag grabs a sawed-off shotgun off of his passenger seat, pointing it at and firing at Officer Session hitting him in the shoulder.
You will see on the camera footage as soon as Officer Session saw the shotgun he pulled his pistol out which activated the gun cam. Officer Session was retreating backward when he was hit and fell to the ground but continued to return fire on the pervert in the vehicle. Officer Session maneuvers around the vehicle continuing to fire until he reaches cover behind the house. Officer Session had shot Mr. Orellana eight times incapacitating him.
The sawed-off shotgun was a 20 gauge loaded with birdshot and Officer Session was hit with 41 of the small lead pellets in his shoulder…Thirty-six of them were left in his shoulder.
Walter Orellana was just sentenced to 40 years in prison for his perversion and attempted murder of Officer Session before this video was released to the public recently.
It’s pretty incredible footage and illustrates just how quickly the job can turn deadly for a police officer… If you have ever wondered why police officers always approach cars as if everyone is a killer this is why… This sort of thing is more common than you might think and it’s only because of good training and diligence police officers survive these incidents… Unfortunately, not all of them survive.
These gun cams are an amazing new technology and enable a shooting to be clearly seen from an officer’s perspective… Unlike the body cam, there are no hands or arms in the way… You can see everything.
