The big push to get people to vote early if not often, seems to have backfired as more and more revelations regarding the Biden’s and their nefarious extra-curricular activities surface. Now that several of the cats are out of the bag, and refuse to be herded back in, a lot of early voters want to change their choice for president.
Almost sixty million people have cast votes already, and in the last week the search term “change my vote” has started to trend most especially when paired with the name “Hunter Biden.”
And early voting, not to mention vote by mail, was meant to be easier and more inviting than showing up in person at the polls on November 3.
Not so much, it seems.
Voters in many states are stuck with the vote they have already cast. Voters in Tennessee, Arizona, and Virginia are in this position. Voters in New York state, on the other hand, have an option if they mailed in their ballots.
“The Election Law recognizes that plans change,” the Empire State’s Board of Elections says.
“Even if you request or cast and return an absentee ballot, you may still go to the polls and vote in person,” the rules state.
“The Board of Elections is required to check the poll book before canvassing any absentee ballot. If the voter comes to the poll site, on Election Day or during early voting and votes in person, the absentee ballot is set aside and not counted.”
Regardless of the overall safety of this system which is fairly lacking given the sheer amount of mail-in snafus which have surfaced in recent months, the people of New York who fell for the early voting gambit do have a workaround.
Michigan, Minnesota, Washington, and Wisconsin also have options for those changing their mind, but at this point, even there, it’s too late.
Voting is one activity where doing it early and getting ahead simply is not all it is cracked up to be.
