Now that little Tony Fauci has not just been caught lying to Congress, but flip-flopping all over the place when it comes to mask-wearing, among other issues like whether or not there are actual therapeutics other than vaccines to deal with COVID and other viruses, members of Congress are openly calling for the man’s resignation.
Fauci clashed with Sen. Rand Paul earlier this month when the Kentucky Republican pushed him on whether the federal agency he heads helped fund “gain of function” research at the Wuhan lab.
“Sen. Paul, with all due respect, you are entirely, entirely and completely incorrect … the NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain of function research in the Wuhan Institute,” Fauci said during the May 11 hearing on Capitol Hill.
Paul began to say: “Government scientists like yourself who favor gain function,’’ but Fauci interrupted, “I don’t favor gain-of-function research in China.
You are saying things that are not correct,” Fauci said.Rep. Warren Davidson (R-Ohio) introduced the Fauci Incompetence Requires Early Dismissal Act around the same time, saying in a statement, “Dr. Fauci represents everything that President Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell address: the scientific-technical elite steering the country toward their own ends.”
At issue is not just Fauci’s ineptitude when it comes to making up his mind, but the irreparable harm is done to the Center for Disease Control’s reputation which was shaky, to begin with.
“The agency [CDC] has lost all credibility,” Dr. Marty Makary, Fox News medical contributor and professor of health policy and management at Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, said. “They have been consistently delinquent, misrepresenting COVID risk levels. The public sees through the CDC’s flawed guidance on schools, travel, and summer camps that use the guise of science. That’s why 52% of Americans no longer trust the CDC.”
Dr. Brett Giroir, the former White House Coronavirus Task Force testing czar, and former Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) assistant secretary said the confusion surrounding the CDC’s new guidance is a result of “awful communication and planning around the guidance” as well as a “terrible choice of words.”…
On top of mistrust in the CDC, Fauci’s credibility is wavering, some experts claim. He recently said he is “not convinced” COVID-19 developed naturally outside of a Wuhan lab, as a report came out that three Wuhan lab workers were diagnosed with COVID-like symptoms just before the official outbreak in China.
For years, insiders have complained about Fauci and how he operates. There are also some alleged conflicts of interest including patents owned on viruses and vaccines. Fauci was also the head of the task force looking into HIV in the 1980s. A vaccine was promised and none delivered.
Tony Fauci has been riding on the government dime for decades with nothing but disasters to show for it. Why he still has a job is a mystery.
