Well, well, well… Here we go with Doctor Fauci again…
Most of you I am sure heard about and probably seen clips of Congressman Jordan going at it with Dr. Fauci last week during the congressional hearing where he kept refusing to “opine” on whether it was a good idea for people to be protesting in the streets and yelling in each other’s faces and spitting all over each other. Well, apparently as soon as he was off the camera and out of the congressional hot seat it didn’t take him long to start opining on what he would and would not do in the name of safety during this pandemic.
MarketWatch asked Dr. Fauci if he would get on a trans-Atlantic flight and responded as follows:
Well, the answer is “no” for the following reason: I am in a risk category. I don’t like to admit it, but I’m 79 years old. I can’t think of a reason to go trans-Atlantic. Right now, I’m very sequestered. I’m on a coronavirus task force. I go to the White House almost every day.
I spend half a day in my office trying to develop a vaccine and drugs for COVID-19, and that’s really what I need to do. I don’t fancy seeing myself getting infected, which is a risk when you’re getting on a plane, particularly with the amount of infection that’s going on right now.
So here he is clearly willing to say specifically that flying is risky… Not that being in a small area with other people is dangerous… Not that being in crowds is dangerous, but specifically that it’s not safe to fly on an airplane… But he will not say that it’s a bad idea to protest… He goes on to further opine that, “taking temperatures is not all it’s cracked up to be, because there are a lot of false negatives and positives”… Interesting, it’s not helpful to take his temperature but he has people taking temperatures all over the rest of the country.
Mister I am not going to “opine” on anything specific but just tell you generally what’s good and bad also decided to kick the restaurant industry in the gut again… I mean what the hell if you are not going to opine on specifics and tell people what they should and should not do, let’s drive another nail in the coffin of the restaurant industry…
MarketWatch hits Fauci with one of those questions with an answer about the restaurants… “I presume you are not hanging out in restaurants or bars. Is it really more dangerous to eat indoors at a restaurant than outdoors? The perfect example of a question reporters should never ask… Well, unless they are looking for that specific answer. LOL
Doctor “I’m not going to opine on anything specific” Fauci responds as follows:
“Yes, absolutely. Indoors is much worse than outdoors. If you’re going to go to a restaurant, try as best as you can to have outdoor seating that is properly spaced between the tables.”
Clearly he wants to remain neutral and not say something like it’s not a good idea to protest in large crowds under any circumstances because it’s dangerous… No, he doesn’t want to say something as specific as that about anything… I guess he’s not afraid of a mob of restaurant owners showing up at his house or attacking him on Twitter… LOL
He goes on in their article to opine on many other things… Things we are all already tired of hearing so I won’t bore you with them… I did think it was important to point out that the good Doctor does have no problem opining on specific things so long as he is not going to piss off the liberal mob… Congress doesn’t count… LOL
