When President Donald Trump boarded Air Force One to Mar-A-Lago on January 20, the Democrats celebrated that he was FINALLY out of their hair.
Well…maybe not so fast.
According to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, President Trump isn’t done yet. He made that claim to Dr. Sebastian Gorka on Thursday evening.
Meadows, who said he spoke to Trump on Wednesday and Thursday, said Trump “continues to put America first, but he also plans to stay in the arena.”
He also said, “America and the 75 million voters are not done with Donald Trump and all he did for the country,” referring to the number of people who voted for Trump in the 2020 election.
Considering that the up to now, the Biden administration’s entire focus has been undoing the Make America Great Again agenda via executive order – including restoring the rice gouging done by pharmaceutical companies for drugs no longer under patent – President Trump’s return in some form, even just for words of encouragement, cannot come soon enough.
As it is, the man himself has been seen playing golf at his club in South Florida and dining out while watching the Superbowl, but for the most part, he has stayed out of the public spotlight while the Biden administration has been busy filling it.
The news that he “plans to stay in the arena” is welcome.
Most of the Trump Administration staff has moved on to other jobs in the swamp, but one of the closer stalwarts is carving out a different place for himself.
Shedding light on the plans of a former colleague, Meadows said Stephen Miller, who was a senior adviser to Trump for four years at the White House, is gearing up to have a group of attorneys file “lawsuits to go against some of the radical executive orders that are coming out of this new administration.”
Another move that is most welcome.
