Looking back on a number of happenings when it comes to the movements of very important Democrats – at least in their own minds – in the first four years of the Trump White House tenure, it looks like the party of donkeys was stalling for time. Come 2020, seemed to be the attitude, when we can get Trump and his people out of the White House, we can put things back the way they were.
The Democrats even had former diplomats traveling the world to meet with world leaders, as well as ambassadors (now former), telling officials in other countries to just give it time, and things would be back to “normal.”
Since election day, when the mainstream media – with no legal basis to do so-called former Vice President Joe Biden the winner, the Democrats have been busy putting together a transition team and naming who would be in a cabinet.
The Vice Presidential pick on that ticket, Senator Kamala Harris, has now chimed in on what else the Democrats have an eye on reversing.
Sen. Kamala Harris of California promised that a Joe Biden administration would rescind President Donald Trump’s travel ban directed at foreign nationals from countries considered to pose a security threat.
Harris also said Biden, as president, would reinstate the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals program, which allows the children of illegal immigrants to remain in the United States.
“These last four years have been heartbreaking and difficult ones,” the Democratic senator said in a recorded address to this week’s virtual National Immigrant Integration Conference. “Children have been separated from their families. Those fleeing persecution have been denied the ability to even apply for refuge.”
She vowed that in a Biden administration’s “first 100 days, we will send an immigration bill to Congress, reinstate DACA, repeal harmful and discriminatory policies like the Muslim ban.
“And during our administration, we will repeal indiscriminate enforcement policies that tear families apart and make us less safe.”
Never mind that it was Democrat policies that enticed parents to send their children on long journeys across the desert unaccompanied to chase the promise of a better life.
And also never mind that banning travel to the United States from certain countries keeps terrorists out.
No, all this has to be reversed because Orange Man Bad.
Never mind that that was what the American people voted for when we the people elected President Donald Trump in the first place.
