Here’s a rather important question that truly does need to be answered.
It’s a question that’s being asked rather forcefully in the state of Florida mainly because there are a number of reports that people are receiving notifications that their tests are coming up positive with just one problem: they’ve never been tested.
“For that to come back positive, when there was no specimen submitted, is problematic. So I’ve heard it enough to be concerned about it,” said [Florida Governor Ron] DeSantis.
For weeks now, reports have been coming from Florida – one of the reported hot spots for the virus despite the heat and humidity of summer, not to mention the saltwater that generally kills viruses and bacteria without discrimination – that people who were not tested are being notified they tested positive for COVID-19. Some reports claim that people were in line to take the test(s) but left before getting the test due to the length of time it was taking, and others claim that they never requested a test, to begin with.
Whatever the case, if this is happening in Florida, there’s a good chance it is happening elsewhere in the United States, and that the real numbers on just how many people are infected with the virus are nowhere close to accurate.
At least the state of Florida is looking into correcting the record.
“If you’re somebody that this has happened to, you’re going to come forward and give us the details, because I think that that needs to be corrected,” said DeSantis.
So do all the rest of the people in the nation who are being held hostage by this virus and the response to it.
