It has been noticed by any number of people out there that the porous southern border is giving the United States a whole lot of illegal aliens. Where they are all going is a good question as there are now holding centers on military bases across the country, which are not being disassembled.
So, where should we put all these people? A Tennessee lawmaker has an idea.
Tennessee Rep. Bruce Griffey (R-Paris-HD75) filed HB1994 on Wednesday.
The bill summary states, “Safety, Dept. of – As introduced, requires commissioner, in collaboration with the commissioner of human services, to implement a system for the relocation of illegal aliens who arrive in this state to other locations.”
Where should these people be sent?
Illegal aliens that are subject to removal are then to be moved to Block Island, Rhode Island, Greenwich, Connecticut, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, Governors Island, New York, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Nantucket, Massachusetts, Newport, Rhode Island, Scarsdale, New York, Palo Alto, California, Yountville, California, St. Helena, California, or North Hero, Vermont.
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have a home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her husband own a vineyard in St. Helena, California. President Barack Obama owns a home in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki went to high school in Greenwich, CT. U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse lives in Newport, Rhode Island. U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders owns a home in North Hero, Vermont. Other cities mentioned have connections with prominent Democrat leaders.
Rather than just deporting the illegals, the legislation, if passed and enacted, would essentially tank the property values of the places where prominent Democrats live and hang out.
How fitting.
Of course, the entire endeavor depends on cooperation from any number of levels of government, and with these very Democrats in charge, it has a snowball’s chance in Hell of being passed.
It’s entertaining nonetheless.
