MSNBC Analyst Has Bizarre And DANGEROUS Message For Black Jurors

I guess nothing should surprise or shock any of us anymore in this country given that the entire nation seems to have lost their damn minds and all traces of common sense and decency… Those on the left have just gone completely over the cliff… Head first…

I don’t expect many people reading the content here on the Free State Daily are overly familiar with the talking heads on MSNBC… I only listen to brief segments when they say particularly stupid things like when they did an entire segment on how the President’s idea to let teachers carry concealed handguns was stupid because bullets travel faster out of an AR than they do a .9mm… Yeah, that’s a true story. LOL I feel a certain obligation to keep my readers informed so I suffer through their nonsense on occasion.

The most recent MSNBC idiot to dribble nonsense all over himself is a failed attorney with a Harvard Law degree named Elie Mystal… Now he is not portrayed as a failed attorney, rather his story his fluffed up BS about how after graduating Harvard he quit his six-figure job with a prominent NYC law firm just months after being hired…

Now I am sure everyone sees the victims success just in that short clip on the guy, right? I mean I am sure most of you privileged folks reading this were able to attend Harvard Law School right? And then his great success as a NYC attorney… Well, those of you over 50 I’m sure remember the affirmative action days… Few rise to a level of “success” in any law firm in 6 months and as for the six-figure income at the law firm… People who live in NYC know the janitorial staff are making low six-figure incomes… You can’t afford a studio apartment in NYC without a low six-figure income. So to recap, landing a six-figure income at a NYC law firm straight out of Harvard Law School, especially in an era where everyone was racing to meet quotas to keep regulatory heat off of them, is hardly an impressive resume.

Sorry, I felt we had to get the BS about this guy out of the way first… Now let me address his ignorance… Mr. Elie Mystal, who in addition to his talking head spot on MSNBC, is also an editor for a site called Above The Law… Mr. Mystal is now using his platforms to encourage blacks to acquit ALL black defendants regardless of the charges and regardless of their guilt or innocence…

It’s something known as jury nullification and while it can possibly be an appropriate means for the citizens to keep a corrupt prosecutor in check, for a public figure to encourage using such a thing in order to free all black people simply because of the color of their skin and to specifically encourage handing down a verdict of not guilty for something as serious as murder regardless of the circumstance as long as they are black is irresponsible and reckless! And frankly it’s possibly criminal… The one well established exception to the First Amendment is inciting violence and encouraging people to free a killer is bound to make someone angry.

Mr. Elie Mystal believes that acquitting black defendants, regardless of guilt, would “put the shoe on the other foot for a change.” He goes on to say:

“Maybe it’s time for black people to use the same tool white people have been using to defy a system they do not consent to: jury nullification. White juries regularly refuse to convict or indict cops for murder. White juries refuse to convict vigilantes who murder black children. White juries refuse to convict other white people for property crimes.”

“Maybe it’s time minorities got in the game?” he continued. “Black people lucky enough to get on a jury could use that power to acquit any person charged with a crime against white men and white male institutions.”

“Assault? Acquit. Burglary? Acquit. Insider trading? Acquit,” he said. “Murder? … what the hell do you think is happening to black people out there? What the hell do you think we’re complaining about when your cops shoot us or choke us? Acquit.”

I wonder how ol’ Elie would feel if one of those murders who got acquitted simply because they were black went out and killed his wife or someone close to him… Or even him… I wonder if he would think his advice was ill advised then?

I ask people a similar question every time someone tells me the police should not have chased Mr. Brooks who was being arrested for being intoxicated in Atlanta after he fought with two police officers… They should have just let him take the taser and go… They could have called him a taxi, etc., etc., etc., but you can bet your last dollar had they just told him have a nice day, your car will be here in the morning and he ended up getting behind the wheel of another car and killed someone, or if he had been walking home and got hit by a car, insert scenario, and the public would be furious.

I find it rather ironic that people are running around all across the country screaming “no peace, no justice,” while lecturing others about how corrupt our police and judicial system is insinuating every time a black person commits a crime they are immediately guilty and lynched, yet their first response when a police officer kills or injures a black person is not to see a through investigation, not to demand a trial… No, they want them immediately arrested solely on the bases that “they think” their actions were wrong and they insist the officer be found guilty and locked up for life… Any suggestion they should receive a fair trial following a through investigation to gather all the facts and evidence is unacceptable… They want justice NOW! And justice is just putting someone in prison without a fair trial and any trial that does not end the way they want is an unfair trial… THAT people is NOT justice… It’s anarchy!

I think it’s important for people to remember that when a police officer is indicted and put on trial, it is not his brothers and sisters in blue who sit on the jury… It’s the citizens in that community… This is not the way to achieve any sort of successful reform, this only makes the problem worse…
