For some reason, the Democrat representatives in Congress seem to forget who they are supposed to be working for. We the People, American citizens, supposedly elect the critters in Congress to look after our well-being and needs.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in her weekly press conference on Thursday, appeared to advocate for the people coming into the country without invitation rather than her own constituents who are footing the bill for those people’s welfare while they are in the custody of the United States government.
“You cannot say anybody coming across the border is breaking the law,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said Thursday in her weekly press conference. “Not until there is a determination whether they can stay or not.”
Madam Speaker seems to be trying to say that all illegal border squatters are innocent until proven to be something other than the asylum seekers they claim to be. But that privilege is really only for Americans accused of a crime. Those crossing the border don’t have the same level of rights.
No, the woman from San Francisco wants to present to the world the face of a nation that lies down when her borders are penetrated by a potential enemy.
“I just think it’s such shame for that to be the face of America across the world,” Pelosi said.
“We don’t have to undermine who we are as a country by saying it’s a crime to engage in an internationally recognized opportunity to make your case, to come into a country. Any country,” Pelosi said.
Every other country on the planet secures its borders when necessary, but somehow one of the most powerful lawmakers in the United States seems to believe that securing our own would be some sort of violation of hospitality rather than sovereignty.
No wonder so many other nations take advantage of us without a second thought.
(D’s) follow the insanity! What oath of what country did you take when you were elected???
“You cannot say anybody coming across the border is breaking the law.”
