President Trump Predicted Sarah Sanders Would Make This Announcement

Over the centuries here in the United States of America, politics has become a bit of a family affair. There are families that produce any number of public office holders, some more successful than others.

We can now add the Huckabee clan of Arkansas to that list.

The world was introduced to Sarah Huckabee Sanders, daughter of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, as a White House Press Secretary under President Donald Trump.

Now, she is taking him up on a challenge: she’s running for Governor of Arkansas.

When announcing Sanders’ departure in June 2019, Trump mused: “I think if we get her to run for the governor of Arkansas, I think she’ll do very well and I’m trying to get her to do that.”

Why is Mrs. Sanders making this move? She’s very plain about her reasoning:

“Everything we love about America is at stake,” Sanders said in the video. “And with the Radical Left now in control of Washington, your governor is your last line of defense. In fact, your governor must be on the frontline.”
Of her White House tenure, Sanders said: “I took on the media, the radical left, and their cancel culture. And I won.”
Sanders’ platform includes prohibiting sanctuary cities and fighting the Green New Deal. Her pledge comes after President Joe Biden signed sweeping executive orders on immigration and environmental policies in an effort to reverse his predecessor’s decisions.

Those on the left would argue the veracity of that statement, but one thing is for sure, Mrs. Sanders is not afraid to take a stand and defend her claims.

Sanders’ combative nature and fervent loyalty to Trump often led to clashes with White House reporters. She unwaveringly defended Trump at the podium in the aftermath of his most incendiary tweetstorms, during the Mueller investigation, and as sexual misconduct accusations were leveled against him.

Those sessions in the press room did serve as high entertainment for some. They were fairly entertaining.

Best of luck to this lady in her quest for public office. This country is in desperate need of leaders who stick to their convictions.
