Several Fox News Hosts have been charged with sexual harassment by one of the network’s liberal female contributors.
The Me Too movement has resulted in a number of allegations made against men across the political spectrum and in every newsroom in America… Some have been shocking, some not so shocking, some believable, some questionable, and some not so believable… Call me crazy but I am going to put this one in the “not so believable” category.
Now don’t mistake my decision to do so as a partisan decision or one that’s based on my preference for Fox News… No, my decision that these belong in the “not so believable” category is not even based on if the stories are true or not true… I place them in the most so believable category because I didn’t create a total bull shit, or so what category to place the accusations in…
Several Fox News Hosts that are named in the lawsuit are Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Howard Kurtz, and a frequent male contributor Gianno Caldwell. The young lady who has made the allegations and filed the lawsuit, which also names the Fox News Network, is Cathy Areu… She is the ultraliberal far-left loon that often appeared on Sean Hannity’s show as well as Tucker Carlson’s show usually to explain the latest fad of the liberal loons.
So let me share with you what apparently passes for sexual harassment these days… She is not claiming any sort of ongoing pattern of harassment by them, no grabbing her boobs or pinching her checks… Any of them… No, she has one specific harassment claim against them each… I’ll give them to you one at a time in no particular order…
In the case of Sean Hannity, the lawsuit accuses him of tossing a $100 on a counter one night after the show and challenged one of the men to take her out for drinks and dinner across the street at Del Frisco’s Steakhouse, a well known after-work hangout for the Fox News crew… Now I’m sure there must have been something that led up to this taking place and perhaps Hannity was just trying to say, here, dinner’s on me… Maybe I’m too old school, but encouraging people to get together after work for drinks doesn’t exactly fall into the sexual harassment category in my book… As I share the other accounts with you I got a hunch that like me you are going to start thinking maybe this young lady thinks too much of herself and is probably more hurt that no one was actually interested in putting their hands on her…

The incident of sexual harassment Tucker Carlson is accused of occurred in December of 2018. Tucker was in New York City for the networks Christmas party and told Ms. Areu that he would not be staying long at the party then after his show that night he told Ms. Areu that he was in the city without his wife and kids and wanted to spend the night alone in his room. Ms. Areu asserts in her lawsuit that Tucker was “without question probing to see whether she was interested in a sexual relationship.” I won’t lie, I have no idea what it’s like for young people in this computer age, but when I was a single man, telling someone you were going back to your room for the night was not how I probed women to find out if they were interested in a sexual relationship and it damn sure doesn’t fall into the sexual harassment category… I mean get over yourself, lady… Even had he come right out and asked you to his room for the night that’s not harassment… That’s an offer you can say yes or no to and then get on with your life…

4kThe next accused is the elder Howard Kurtz who hosts a Sunday show dealing with integrity in the media… He’s probably old enough to be Ms. Areu’s grandfather… He doesn’t seem like the overly creepy type but you never know these days… Regardless, his crime as she asserts again doesn’t seem like much of a crime to me and reeks more of this young lady thinking way too much of herself… According to the lawsuit Kurtz invited her to stop by his hotel room to discuss her interest in a full-time job with Fox News Later that evening she countered his offer and invited him to dinner with her and a friend and Kurtz declined… That’s it… That’s the end of that story. If you’re wondering where the sexual harassment in the story is then you’re right there with me… I just don’t see it… He suggested she stop by his room earlier in the day, then that night he declines a dinner invite and that is sexual harassment…
I’m starting to wonder what Ms. Areu considers sex to be… Maybe that would better help me understand how these events rise to the sexual harassment standard.
Oh, wait, I almost forgot about Gianno Caldwell, the other Fox News Contributor named in the sexual harassment lawsuit… His story is not all that involved… He simply asked Ms. Areu out on a date according to the lawsuit…
I’m really glad I am not in corporate America these days… I thought I knew what sex was but apparently not because if these incidents rise to the sexual harassment standard it’s no longer a physical activity. LOL
Even Fox News who had an outside law firm investigate the incidents has called these charges nonsense and has vowed to vigorously defend against these charges… Which is actually the opposite of what they have done in a number of past instances… One that resulted in their number one money maker Boll O’Reilly getting terminated. They haven’t been slow to act on these things and even recently fired Ed Henry after charges were made against him.
