For some strange reason, lawyers for Sidney Powell, the defense lawyer who at one time was part of President Donald Trump’s team looking into election fraud, have gone into court claiming that no reasonable person would believe her claims about the Dominion Voting Machines being rigged to steal the 2020 presidential election.
The claim was made in front of a judge in an effort to get a $1.3 billion defamation suit against Powell brought by Dominion dismissed.
Lawyers for pro-Trump attorney Sidney Powell said that “no reasonable person” would believe that her false claims and conspiracy theories about the 2020 election were “truly statements of fact.”
The new argument from Powell, who had aggressively promoted claims that the election was rigged against former President Donald Trump, came Monday in a court filing asking a federal judge to dismiss the $1.3 billion defamation suit filed by Dominion Voting Systems in January.
Dominion, whose voting machines were used in numerous states in the 2020 contest, claims that Powell and other prominent election theft conspiracists, including Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, have caused “irreparable harm” to the company.
So, now Sidney Powell, among other prominent and very smart Americans, are “conspiracy theorists” for claiming that the voting machines were rigged for a specific outcome when those who are following the story in the alternative media have seen reports that Powell, Lindell, and Giuliani are right on the mark.
And why would Powell’s lawyers make such a claim about her?
Is this part of a concerted effort to make all those who question the mainstream media’s take on “news” look like raving lunatics in the eyes of “ordinary” citizens? If that’s the case, then why would anyone dare challenge the narratives as presented even if empirical evidence seems to contradict what is being fed to the people.
Seriously, how did a man who could not draw two dozen people to a campaign event beat an opponent who had supporters lined up for days to attend events in the rain, and other nasty weather?
How could that have happened without rigging somewhere? The voting machines are a possibility, but that evidence has not been presented in court and with the sheer number of cases being dismissed without any hearings, we will never know.
