Here’s a switch from the way things usually go here in the USA during COVID. A bar owner in Texas who has an unofficial dress code that includes no masks had an employee ask a couple to either remove their masks or leave.
“I’ve spent my money on this business, I’ve put my blood, sweat and tears in this business and I don’t wany any masks in here,” the owner, identified only as Tom, told the station.
The owner said he has every right to refuse business to anyone who doesn’t adhere to his unofficial dress code. There’s no sign stating the policy, but a hostess tells all customers that they must take off their masks at the front door, KTVT reported.
“I feel the overall reaction with masks is ridiculous in the United States right now,” the owner said. “So when they put their masks on the other night, they were reminded that they were asked at the front to take it off. They didn’t want to, so we asked them to leave.”
Not that the entire mask-wearing hysteria is not ridiculous, as the man states, for many people who are terrified of disease, the mask has become a sort of security blanket. For new parents of a child with cystic fibrosis, that seems to be the case.
Natalie Wester and her husband went to Hang Time Bar & Grill in Rowlett earlier this month with some friends to let loose, but the new parents decided to mask up out of an abundance of caution due to their at-risk child at home, who has cystic fibrosis, KTVT reported.
“If you’ve ever been new parents, having those couple of hours out like once or twice a month is so important for your mental health,” Wester told the station Saturday.
But hopes of a relaxing, stress-free outing were dashed when a waitress told the fully vaccinated couple they’d need to take off their masks as part of the restaurant’s dress code, Wester said.
The bar owner claims he has that right.
This whole episode in human history just gets messier and messier.

These are the type of actions needed to end the medical tyranny we are currently under. Masks do not work, the deadly jab does not work (except to harm and kill people), and the “six foot rule” was made up arbitrarily. We need more patriots to stand up and say no more. Bravo to the bar owner.
This couple were free to take their business elsewhere. I’m sure there are numerous restaurants in Rowlett that would serve them. I just wonder how they can eat with the mask on or risk grave illness by removing it.
The way this article is written seems to be vilifying what the business owner did, but in other articles, where the business owner requires masks, they are praised for the ‘bravery’. BS. Anyone can, but rarely do, research and find that, one, masks are very inefficient in stopping a virus(says right on the package). Two, many folks have natural immunity or have had the virus and maintain antibodies forever. The last time I was in texas we were finishing up our part on the keystone pipeline. I am from ga. and loved this state like my own. I wish I had been to this bar because I think I supported every one but this one,friendly folks all. LOL
